Steve joined Tommy’s Real Estate in November of 2003 and, by his 2nd year, he was Tommy’s Top Selling’ agent in Upper Hutt. Steve was quickly headhunted by the world’s largest real estate company, where he worked for a year. Long enough to achieve a ranking of 18th in New Zealand and leave to re-join Tommy’s in April 2007.
Steve has won the top agent for the office every year since then. In 2017 he was the first recipient outside of Tommy's Wellington office to be awarded The Margo Macauley memorial Supreme Agent Trophy. What makes this even more special is that Tommy’s salespeople are consistently among the highest performing sales team in terms of sales per salesperson in New Zealand across all brands. So, to be recognised as the best of the best is truly special.
But nobody gains such broad experience overnight. Steve has been working in Real Estate since 1995 training with Bushells, a real estate company in West London before moving to Barnard Marcus in early 1997 and quickly becoming their top selling agent for three consecutive years 1997, 1998 and 1999. (Top out of 200 agents over 47 offices) In 2000 Steve opened the Tate Partnership Real Estate office with his business partner in Chiswick, West London before selling up in 2002 to move to New Zealand with his then wife and young family.
